To embody a fruit reflects in its stillness, the dynamics and the accumulation of sensory perceptions. This work was developed during a six months residency at the Citée des Arts, Paris in 2019. The shape is a reference to the Sheela-na-Gig, marking a place of protection and transition.
This watercolour drawing is framed in oak. This work was firstly exhibited in Paris at the Jeune Création. This installation view is from the Exhibition What the Water gave us, Artstübli, Basel in 2025.

deirdre o’leary

currently works between Cork (IE) and Basel (CH), where she is embedding engagement in collaborative projects with artists and transdisciplinary practitioners. Her work focuses on the intersection between ecology and art.
