The aim of A playful attempt to work with the wind. A research and fieldwork exploring generative sound production and ephemeral sculpting through arial currents, A research by Deirdre O'Leary and Samuel Tschudin is to integrate arial currents as a formative and sculpting element into their artistic practices through the development of instruments. The Research will take place at The Guesthouse Project at 10 Chapel Street, Shandon, Cork, Ireland, from the 14.May 2024 until the 30.June 2024.
The Guesthouse Project presents international and Irish artists and collaborative groups with an opportunity to live and work in Cork city. The Guesthouse is a shared space set up to facilitate transdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary non-hermetic practices that develop through experimental modes of operation. The residency facilitates research and experimentation and the development of collaborations that create new approaches to artistic practice. I am delighted to realize this research at the Guesthouse Project
